One of the most frequently applied aesthetic operations today is fat removal applications.
Lubricated areas may differ according to gender. Fat is mostly seen around the abdomen and belly in men and in the waist and hip areas of women.
People who have a more flawless appearance regain their lost self-confidence with the liposuction operation, which includes detailed fat removal from the body. Since the fat cells are removed during the application, the formation of that degree of fat accumulation in the same area is prevented. Fats occur due to mistakes in eating habits, and if unhealthy nutrition continues, it may be possible to repeat these practices. In the section where the fat cells are removed once, fat is not seen again in many periods. However, with the refilling of the fat cells, the area may become suitable for fat removal again.
The operation is performed under general anesthesia and its average duration is 1.5-2 hours, but its duration may vary depending on the number and size of the areas to be applied. One night hospitalization is required.
Edema and bruises that occur in the early period pass over time. You may not notice any change in your weight due to edema in the first 20 days, but you can see that your body starts to take shape within 2 months. You can return to social life 1 week after the operation. After 4 weeks, you can do light sports such as jogging, walking and cardio.
After Liposuction Surgery
Recovery and post-operative care after liposuction surgery may vary depending on the area being treated and the amount of fat removed. You can usually return to work in a few days, and all normal activities such as exercise can be resumed after 2-4 weeks or less. Compliance with the instructions of the doctor (not smoking, not using alcohol, resting, etc.) provides a shorter and painless recovery opportunity. Antibiotics and painkillers may be prescribed to prevent the risk of infection.
It usually takes 4-5 weeks to 6 months to see the results of liposuction, depending on the procedure applied. The positive results of this procedure usually last longer if you maintain your weight, and may even be permanent. It should be noted that liposuction does not prevent weight gain.
If you gain weight after the procedure, your fat distribution may change and new fat deposits may develop in any part of your body (or in the same area). Therefore, liposuction surgery should be supported by exercise, lifestyle, and a healthy diet that includes lean protein, fruit and vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat milk.
